Just Magnolia Challenge

Just Magnolia Challenge

Thanks for all the entries last week, you are all amazing!!. This week we are asking you to make a card using MASKING technique. Cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Another sheduled post (I do hope they have all worked so far). I have used Magnolias Christmas papers again on this one as well as my favourite of the new Christmas Magnolias, she was masked and I stamped over her with a Christmas Tree from last years Magnolia Christmas Release. Distress Inks were used as the colouring medium with lots of Stardust Stickles added to her dress and tree, and also the flowers. The lovely large Red Rose, Tulle and Pearl pins were all bought from Tabby Crafts

Have a great weekend everyone and I will be back to normal on Monday.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

We have a stunning sketch this week from our very own Gio, thank you dear it is a great sketch to work with. Don't forget the only rule is you must use a Whiff of Joy image on your card. Hope you will come and join us again this week.

I have at last received my DT package from Katharine containing these great little Gnomes, seeing all my fellow DT members using them was making me so jealous, it appears my original package got caught up in Postal Strike.

I have coloured "Wee with Christmas Tree", in Distress Inks and used Sweet Shoppe Download Papers. The snowflakes have been punched with 2 different Martha Stewart
Snowflake Punches and glittered with Glamour Dust.

Something New!!!!!!

Our Dear Dawny P has a lot to answer for, sore finger tips for one, she gave Rach and I a quick lesson on jewellery making in the middle of the Exhibition Hall and both of us decided we would like to have a go, I bought 2 kits and as all my cardmaking bits are packed for tomorrow I thought I would have a go today, I see Rach has also been busy as well and she has posted her bracelet today, I had great fun making this once I had got the hang of it!!!! And I think another hobby may be in the offing for me. Just need to sort out what things are called I don't want to keep buying kits I would like to make up my own designs, but after visiting a Bead Website my head is reeling, I had over a £100 of stuff in my basket before I knew it, NO!!!!!! I didn't buy them I think I will have to learn a bit more before I visit another Bead Website.

If you would like to see professional Jewellery Making why not pop over Piggy Bling but keep a tight hold on your purse strings as Dawny has some fantastic creations for sale on there.

Hope you like them

Babys First Christmas

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

It was my turn to choose the theme on A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge this week, I plumped for Babys/Pre-schooler Christmas Card. The lovely and generous Nikki from Bunny Zoes Crafts is sponsoring the challenge and is offering a fabulous New Anya Stamp. My Fellow DT Members have created some stunning cards, so I hope you will check them out and join in our challenge.

What a good excuse (if an excuse was needed) to use one of Janets fabulous stamps from Pink Gem Designs. The Eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I haven't stamped the image perfectly, this is not to do with Janets stamps which are fabulous quality, but the fact that I had packed my new stazon ink ready for the courier to pick up and take to the Craftaganza. I was left with an almost dry ink pad (so sorry). I have coloured the image with Distress Inks and used lots of Glamour Dust. The embossing was done with the New Cuttlebug Holly Folder.

The little white border at the bottom was punched with Martha Stewart Village Border Punch twice, once in Mauve and once in White, I have attached them together leaving a small mauve border, the again added Glamour Dust. The snowflakes were cut with a Sizzix snowflake die.

Well I am all packed and ready for my break, Mum has a full time carer coming for the 5 days and I am just looking forward to relaxing and have an overload of crafting with friends I haven't seen for a year. I have sheduled my DT cards for the week so hope it all works and you have something to look at for the next few days.

See you Monday

Morning everyone and welcome to another Penny Black Saturday Challenge ....gorgeous work from you all last week with our Song Title/Lyrics challenge...looks like you all had as much fun as we did.

Christmas For The Guys

As always you can create a card, altered art, bag, box, notebook etc....the only RULE being you use at least one Penny Black image or sentiment.

We have another fabulous prize this week from

123 Stitch

$20 voucher for 1 lucky winner to spend in their store

Sorry I am so late posting this, as my bedroom is in the attic I had very little sleep last night what with the horrendous winds which roared around the house and also kept setting off all the car alarms in the village. Have had to spend ages this morning tiding up the garden. This will be a quick post as I am going to try and catch up on some sleep while Mum is having a nap.

I love this Penny Black stamp and used it on lots of my mens cards last year it has been coloured with copics and as a mans card no embellies, Oh dear that hurt. I will try to get around to visiting all you lovely people at some stage over the weekend, thanks for your fabulous and uplifting comment.

Have a good and safe weekend
